Tour Description

Complete your Longreach experience by visiting Darr River Downs, a 55,000acre working merino sheep & beef cattle station. In our fully air-conditioned helicopter take the 25min scenic flight from Longreach to Darr River Station where you’ll be greeted by owners Fiona & Paul for a fully guided tour. The tour takes you through the property’s history, original buildings, landmarks & onsite museums. This scenic flight also includes Starlight’s Lookout where legend has it that this lookout was used by notorious cattle thief, Harry Redford (also known as Captain Starlight) to survey the surrounding plains while stolen cattle were being rounded up.
